All of this was very unexpected. My dad actually had a meeting in Atlanta GA on Friday and he asked if I wanted to ride along with him. I was bored and I'd just finished some assignments for work and was like ok, what the hey.
Somehow my nerd senses tingled and alerted me of Dragon Con so during the day while my dad was at his meeting I hopped a train to the con! I recently just purchased a Nikon 3100 and I really need a looootttt of practice so I spent the day spazzing at Dragon con taking loads pictures of everyone and everything!
I managed to run across a rooftop where there was this crazy cool photo shoot going on. Although I know none of their names, each of these photos are thanks to the amazing cosplayers and the time and effort they put into each of their outfits making each character their own!
Another highlight of the day was meeting in the artist alley and buying his pretty awesome prints and his crews artbook! I love my Hellboy character sketch included with the artbook !! He is sincerely one of the nicest and most inspiring artist you could ever hope to meet. I would have asked for a picture but I was spazzing enough as it was.
If you can, try to attend one! There's nothing like the atmosphere of a convention, being surrounded by tons of other people obsessed with the same things is always great!
I desperately wanted to, but some financial issues prevented me from attending. I'll attend Anime Weekend Atlanta at the end of this month, I know that.
I've never been to a convention before, and that certainly looks like it was a blast!
Well Anime Weekend sounds like some crazy fun, I hope you enjoy that!
