I'll probably scrap this since I'm going to upload the original drawing later but anyways...Meme time! Original link [link]
A while ago I was trolling through youtube trying to find some old Toonami promos so I could show my little sister (who recently turned 14) what Toonami was really about. Yep, back in the mid/late 90's and early 2000's when anime swarmed the States like a pleasant disease.
Yes the true Toonami... Outlaw Star, Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo etc. The good old times when you needed a tape just to record episodes, that is, if you where lucky enough to have a working VCR and home movies nobody cared about.
During my search I found this remastered DBZ promo....[link] I'm sure the neighbors next door heard my very loud nerd squeal This video is fun too! [link]
So nostalgic, it's like I traveled back in time! When I was younger Trunks was my favorite character, hence this drawing now lol.
Inspiration can come from anywhere, but I do have to say that for me, anime/manga is up there. I mean these shows treated kids like actual thinking beings and not drones who couldn't handle complex stories! Good times, good times...
Trunks was my favorite character too! I guess because he really shook things up after the Namek arc. Takes down Freeza is one hit. I was like, "Who is this guy?!"
Anyway, it's amazing to see how much progress you made in 10 years. Crazy!
Yeah a DBZ drawing friend would have been great. By then I think MTV had stolen the very impressionable souls of my peers and turned them into mindless drones.
Anyway, it's amazing to see how much progress you made in 10 years. Crazy!
At the time Goku was the only super saiyan then this new guy comes along and everyone was like
